Funding Opportunities

NASCAR: NASCAR Unites is raising money “…for communities affected in large numbers by the devastating “superstorm” that touched down in the North East this week.” Is this foundation a prospect for your charity?

CASINOS  THRIVING: With Atlantic City’s 12 casinos shut down, Connecticut’s two casinos received their patrons and ours in the aftermath of the storm. Neither Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun lost power and their respective hotels have been full to capacity. Does anyone reading this have stories about how and what the casinos give back to the state other than through the state tax?

Charity & Donor News

REPORT: Mobile technology, online fundraising and donor communication and multichannel engagement — these are just some of the subjects addressed in the just released 2012 State of the Nonprofit Industry report by Blackbaud, Inc. The report features survey results from more than 1500 respondents from nine countries covering approaches to overcoming common challenges, fundraising trends, and use of mobile and interactive technology.

Donor Relations

CULTURE: Creating a culture of philanthropy — the roles of the board and the executive staff.

Media Tips

Why do we really bother to keep churning them out? Usually because they are written for the bosses who take the already horrible copy and make it worse. Maybe it’s is time to stop writing them all together.
